Hello, world. A place to think out loud.
Every project starts somewhere. This is the beginning of a notebook about code, self-hosting, and learning by doing.
Welcome to the workbench. This is where I'll write about the things I'm building, the problems I run into, and what I learn along the way.
Why a blog?
Some of the most useful things I've learned came from someone taking the time to document a small problem. A configuration that almost worked. A deployment that failed for an unexpected reason. A simpler way to do something.
I'd like to do the same here.
What to expect
- Code: projects, experiments, and decisions worth explaining.
- Infrastructure: self-hosting, networking, and getting things into production.
- Notes: useful discoveries that don't need a whole tutorial.
const notebook = {
status: 'just getting started',
approach: 'build, learn, document',
};
You don't need to have everything figured out before you start writing things down.
The site itself follows that idea: Markdown files, a small renderer, and static pages. No login screen between you and the writing.
More soon.
Thanks for reading.
